We're not sure if Nick is a bonafide vagabond, or just a guy who has bounced around Texas trying to "find himself". One thing is for sure, though, he didn't have to look far to find his calling. Writing and playing is what he was built for and, in September, he'll be doing it right up on our stage.
Born in Midland, Nick moved out to Farmersville at a young age before eventually moving to Marshall, Texas. More recently, he calls Hamilton home and can be found playing venues of all shapes and sizes throughout the state.
Some have called him a mashup of Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, JJW and Larry Joe Taylor. We just call him Nick and we're proud to have him on our stage. According to Nick, he is influenced by those pioneers, to be sure. But his enduring and renewable inspirations come from his family and his close friends that he commits himself to on a daily basis.
Nick's music is a reflection of his life and his experiences. He's a storyteller and a poet. He's a musician and a songwriter. He's a gypsy and a homebody. He's a lot of things, but most of all, he's a musician. And we're glad he is.
And Oh, by the way... Nick was the winner of the 2021 Larry Joe Taylor Songwriter's Competition. So, there's that too!Back to Lineup
